CLALLAM BAY — The Clallam County Public Utility District is asking its customers in Sekiu and Clallam Bay to conserve water while it repairs an issue at the Hoko Pump Station.
The pump station is the water source for both areas and was badly damaged during November’s storms, leaving residents without water for several days.
“As a precaution, the PUD is asking water customers to practice water conservation until further notice,” said Nicole Hartman, communications manager for Clallam PUD. “Water conservation is critical to maintaining water levels in the reservoirs in case repairs take longer than anticipated. Additional updates will be made once more information is available.”
All Sekiu and Clallam Bay customers have water at this time, Hartman said.
