SEQUIM — Work will begin Monday on water main replacement project in Sequim.
Crews from Jamestown Excavating will begin work on north Seventh Avenue, between Spruce and Fir streets and on both north and south Spalder loops.
Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and is expected to continue for three to four months, depending upon the weather.
Drivers can expect delays, localized closures and detours during work hours resident access will be preserved.
The project includes the installing a new 8-inch diameter water main, valves, hydrants, 4-inch and 3-inch diameter water supply pipes, concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, hot mix asphalt pavement and pavement markings.
