Newspaper delivery for the Wednesday edition of both Peninsula Daily News and the Sequim Gazette may be delayed due to a Tuesday night closure of the Hood Canal Bridge.
The scheduled four-hour closure is expected to keep the span closed from 10 p.m. Tuesday to 2 a.m. Wednesday so crews from the state Department of Transportation can perform maintenance.
The work, originally scheduled for Sept. 17, is subject to weather and tidal activity. It was postponed earlier this month due to air quality issues brought on by West Coast wildfires.
The newspapers are delivered by truck from Everett and circulated by carrier. The bridge closure may affect when the papers reach the North Olympic Peninsula.
