Lowest Pair to perform at two gigs
The Lowest Pair, a duo of Palmer T. Lee and Kendl Winter, are bringing their banjos and harmonies to the Junction Roadhouse, 242701 U.S. Highway 101 just west of Port Angeles, tonight.
The cover’s $5 for the 9:30 p.m. show.
Then it’s on to Port Townsend for a gig at Sirens pub, 823 Water St., at 9 p.m. Saturday, again with a $5 cover.
Winter, a founding member of the Blackberry Bushes string band, teamed up with Lee early last year, and now The Lowest Pair is touring in support of their new album, titled “36¢.”
The duo is all about rootsy original and traditional songs on banjos and guitar: songs like “Oh! Susanna,” “Do You Leave the Light On?” and “Magpies at Sunset.”
