“Today” and “tonight” reflect Friday, Sept. 6.
SEQUIM — Local artists from a variety of disciplines are giving free Friday and Saturday demonstrations at the Museum & Arts Center, aka the MAC, through this summer and fall.
Light refreshments are laid out during these programs at the MAC, 175 W. Cedar St. Here’s the schedule of artists’ demos from this weekend into November.
■ This Saturday, Jamestown S’Klallam tribal member Danielle Lawson will give a beading demonstration from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Lawson’s beaded artwork can also be seen in the Hall-Adams Family Exhibit at the MAC.
■ Friday, Sept. 13: Port Angeles artist Pamela Hastings will demonstrate the construction of stick dolls from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., in conjunction with her “Faces and Masks” art show at the MAC through September.
■ Saturday, Sept. 14: Sandy Placek will demonstrate the art of calligraphy from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
■ Saturday, Sept. 28: Botanical illustrator Iris Edey will give a sketching demo from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
■ Saturday, Oct. 19: Jamestown S’Klallam tribal artist Jeff Monson will give a carving demo from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
■ Saturday, Nov. 9: Florence Adams Monson of the Jamestown S’Klallam tribe — another artist whose creations are part of the museum’s Hall-Adams Exhibit — will give a beading demo from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
