WEEKEND: Bond at Forks fair with family on Saturday

FORKS — The Forks Elks Lodge, 941 Merchants Road, will host the fourth annual Forks Family Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Events include a bicycle rodeo, face painting, clowns, blood pressure and blood sugar check-ups, the ABCD Dental program, games and refreshments.

The Forks Police Department will conduct the bicycle rodeo.

Each rider who demonstrates the ability to negotiate a road course involving stop and go, intersection and traffic safety and agility will get a free helmet approved by the state Department of Transportation while supplies last.

The Masonic lodges of Sequim and Forks will offer a free child identification program known as CHiPs.

Trained volunteers give parents videos of their children, impressions of their teeth, DNA swabs and their children’s fingerprints to help in the safe recovery of a lost or missing child.
