PORT ANGELES — Researcher and author Alice Alexander will present “West of the Elwha” at the Clallam County Historical Society’s History Tales lecture series Sunday.
The free lecture will be at 2:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 110 E. Seventh St.
Parking and entry to the church’s social hall are on Laurel Street.
Brought up in the Elwha community, Alexander has spent many hours researching and writing about Clallam County history, particularly her family and people and events on the Elwha.
This program will focus on the communities of Port Crescent and Joyce, covering an area to Lake Sutherland.
Alexander is the author of five books. In addition, she writes a monthly column for the Peninsula Daily News.
She is active with the Clallam County Historical Society, Celebrate Heritage and the Heritage Advisory Board.
