SEQUIM — The Deweys, Readers Theatre Plus’ version of the Academy Awards, will be bestowed on local actors, directors and singers in a festive event at the Sequim Prairie Grange Hall, 290 Macleay Road, this Sunday.
All lovers of community theater are invited to the 5 p.m. Dewey Awards ceremonies.
Admission is free; RSVPs are requested, however, via ReadersTheatrePlus@gmail.com so organizers know how much food and soft drinks to purchase.
Dewey plaques, named in honor of local musical director and actor Dewey Ehling, will go to best lead and supporting actor and actress, director and ensemble, all from voting that took place among Readers Theatre Plus patrons last month.

Among the nominees are:
■ Joel Yelland, John Silver and Carl Honore from 2013’s production of “The Mikado.”
