PORT ANGELES — A do-it-yourself fair, an event to help community members develop skills to increase self-reliance, will be held at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St., from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
The event, called DIY Library, will offer demonstrations and talks on seed saving, sewing and mending, home maintenance, bike and car repair, home brewing, art from recyclables, composting, developing and marketing crafts, and starting a small business.
The library has invited local professionals and artisans to share their expertise with the community during the DIY fair.
Angeles Brewing Supplies, Around Again, Bike Garage, Clallam County PUD, Les Schwab, Stanley and Sons, and the Master Gardeners are some of the local businesses and organizations that will have representatives on hand Saturday.
Come at any time
Participants can wander through the fair at any time and visit the stations they’re interested in.
DIY Library will take place in the library’s “living room,” the central space where community members naturally come together to create connections and share information.
Several raffle drawings will be held during the fair.
Participants who visit multiple stations will be eligible to submit their names into drawings for DIY gear.
