PORT TOWNSEND — The ninth annual “Fabulous Follies” show, a fundraiser for the Port Townsend High School drama program, has a youthful theme this year.
“Forever Teenagers” is the title of the revue, which brings together a cast of 40 performers who are, technically, age 13 to 89.
The O’Meara Dance Studio is presenting the Follies show at 7 tonight and Saturday night plus a 1 p.m. matinee Saturday in the Port Townsend High School auditorium, 1500 Van Ness St.
Tickets will be sold at the door for $10 for general admission, $15 per couple or $5 for students and seniors.
Proceeds will help keep Port Townsend’s after-school drama group, with its semiannual productions, alive.
“Teenagers” is bursting with 43 song-and-dance numbers from the 1940s through the ’80s, from World War II-era songs and Elvis Presley hits to “We Will Rock You” and “Don’t Stop Believin’,” said Follies publicist Margie Abraham.
The “teenagers” in the audience “will be singing along with us,” she added.
