BRINNON — More shrimp is on the menu today at the 21st edition of the Brinnon ShrimpFest.

Just as they were Saturday, frozen containers of Hood Canal spot shrimp will be sold for $15 apiece on the last day of the festival — open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today — at Yelvik General Store at 251 Hjelvicks Road and U.S. Highway 101 in Brinnon.

And organizer Phil Thenstedt thinks they’ll sell out quickly.

“In past years, we’ve sold out by early afternoon each day,” he has said.

Admission is $4 for those who didn’t buy two-day passes for $6.

Veterans and active military are admitted free with identification, while children 12 and younger are admitted free with a paying adult. Parking is free.

The ever-popular belt-sander races were held Saturday only, but other activities will fill the festival today.

Seventy food, arts and crafts vendors; a carnival; children’s activities such as an air gun booth; a beer garden for adults; and music all day long are planned.

Performers are Eric Miller from 10 a.m. to noon, Old Sidekicks from noon to 2 p.m. and Soul Siren from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
