PORT ANGELES — Sequim resident Bill Ellis is holding a meeting this weekend on the corrupting influence of money on politics and a proposal that politicians limit to $100 the amount that they take from any individual or corporation.
The public is invited to attend.
The meeting is 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Clallam County Democratic Party headquarters, 124-A W. First St. in downtown Port Angeles (the meeting is not sponsored by the Democrats).
“Can you imagine our representatives spending two-thirds of their time working for us instead of fundraising?” Ellis wrote in a letter to the editor in last Sunday’s Peninsula Daily News. “This can be done if you want it done.
