PORT ANGELES — The executive director of the Clallam County Historical Society will present an update on the restoration of the former Lincoln School, now the society’s offices, at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
Kathy Monds, who has worked at the society since 1987, will talk about the recent renovation of the research library and plans for the site at the corner of West Eighth and C streets that the society bought in 1991 to house the Clallam County Museum and Resource Center.
The free lecture, part of the society’s History Tales series, will be at First United Methodist Church, 110 E. Seventh St.
Parking and entry to the church’s social hall are on Laurel Street.
This is also the society’s annual meeting.
New board officers will be sworn in, and winners of the Heritage Award will be presented.
The name of the winner of Roxanne Grinstad’s painting “Sol Duc Falls in the Mist” will be drawn.
Refreshments will be served.
History Tales is open to the public.
