PORT TOWNSEND –– Art lovers can get a glimpse of the surreal world of carnivals, the serene beauty of the woods and the decomposition of the human heart during the Port Townsend’s monthly Gallery Walk on Saturday.
The circuit of galleries and shops is from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
■ The Northwind Arts Center, 2409 Jefferson St., features “A Night at the Carnival,” in which the works of featured artists Dayton Knipher and Mark Lubich present images inspired by the bizarre scenes of the American carnival.
■ Gallery Nine, 1012 Water St., spotlights Linda Lundell’s paintings of Olympic National Park scenery along with her cloisonné jewelry, with glass jewelry and images of nature in metal and stained glass by Nancy Rody.
■ The Port Townsend Gallery, 715 Water St., features the stunning natural landscapes of painter Mark Henthorn with the colorful ceramics of Barbara Ewing.
■ Red Raven Gallery, 922 Water St., exhibits Philadelphia surrealist Scott Kirschner’s series of paintings “Decomposition of the Heart.”
■ William’s Gallery, 914 Water St., shows off the abstract ceramic figurines made by Oregon sculptor Jacquline Hurlbert.
