Today, tonight signify Friday, Feb. 13.

PORT ANGELES — PufnStuff, the Soul Ducks, wet felting: It should be a lively mashup tonight and throughout downtown Port Angeles’ Second Weekend festivities.

Here’s a cross-section of places to go and art to see.

■ The Heatherton Gallery, on the ground floor of The Landing mall at 115 E. Railroad Ave., invites everyone to its first anniversary — and owner Sky Heatherton’s 70th birthday — party from 5:30 to

7:30 tonight.

Jazz, a buffet and art by the gallery’s 61 artists await, and admission is free.

■ The rock ’n’ roll band PufnStuff and the artist Benji will get together tonight at Bar N9NE, 229 W. First St., for the tradition known as Second Friday Art Rock, or 2FAR.

PufnStuff is a new band of familiar players: singer-guitarists Mike Pace and Ches Ferguson, drummer Terry Smith and bassist-vocalist Paul Stehr-Green. They will fill the place with song while Benji creates art before patrons’ eyes.

“Artist Benji is a mystery. What he does and how he does it can only be seen live at the show,” added Dan Lieberman, 2FAR’s publicist.

A $3 cover supports the musicians and artist, who will start the party at 8 o’clock tonight.

■ The Landing Artists’ Studio will stay open for a Second Weekend party today from 4 p.m. to

7:30 p.m.

The studio, inside The Landing mall at 115 E. Railroad Ave., offers fresh art from local makers: hand-felted silk and merino scarves from Jennifer Bright, vintage and steampunk jewelry by Pam Dick and Janie Brackney and more.

■ The Cabled Fiber Studio, 125 W. First St., presents fiber artist Lauralee DeLuca giving wet- and needle-felting demonstrations from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Then comes the Second Weekend reception with DeLuca’s wearable art — including pieces made with antique Czech buttons — Saturday evening from

4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

■ Studio Bob, upstairs at 118½ E. Front St., hosts a night of art and live rockabilly music Saturday.

During the opening reception from 5 p.m. to

8 p.m., art lovers can view paintings by Brian Hogan and abstract silk works by Bob Stokes; at 8 p.m. the Soul Ducks, the trio specializing in dance-driving rockabilly and blues, will take the stage and aim to fill the dance floor with feet.

This is a show for all ages; the adjacent Loom lounge will be open with soft drinks and other beverages.

There’s no cover charge for Studio Bob’s Saturday events nor for the Sunday art show: Stokes and Hogan will keep their works on display Sunday from noon to 3 p.m.

■ Harbor Art, 110 E. Railroad Ave., presents Suzy Killins’ jewelry: unusual pieces made with gemstones, a rock saw and diamond wheels.

The gallery, which houses the work of many other local artists, will be open for a Second Weekend reception from 4 p.m. to

7 p.m. Saturday.
