PORT ANGELES — Six student-made films and live music will be offered during the Box Office Social at 7 tonight.
The film and music festival will be in the Port Angeles High School auditorium, 304 E. Park Ave.
General admission tickets will be available at the door for $5. Student tickets cost $4, or $2 for students with an ASB discount card.
The festival is sponsored by the Port Angeles High School Movie Club, which views, studies and makes films.
Some students have gone on to study film in college, said Thomas Jay, club adviser.
Six student-produced films, each no more than 10 minutes long, will be presented.
Two students, Forrest Maynock and Billy Moulton, co-produced four films: “Revenge of the Hats,” “Steve,” Time Can Be Manipulated” and “In the Woods.”
Also to be presented: “Where is Waldo,” by Justin Bradley, and “Furry Bear Trap of Love,” by Ali Drew.
Audience members will vote for the winning films. Prizes for first, second and third place will be awarded after the last musical performance.
The guest band will be Witherow, a folk band featuring Dillan Witherow, a PAHS graduate; Abby Latson, formerly a member of Abby Mae & the Homeschool Boys; Jason Taylor; and Adam Bettger.
Two student bands will perform: The Few, featuring students Nick Fritschler, Jesse Denton, Kyle Sholinder, Tyler Hull, Jeremy Cho and Annika Pederson; and Ghetto Sound Wave, with Forrest Clark.
