PORT TOWNSEND — Second Sunday Salsa Night glides back onto Manresa Castle’s dance floor with two lessons followed by two hours of Latin-flavored dancing this Sunday.
Chris and Terry Copeland will teach a beginners’ salsa dance lesson from 7 p.m. to 7:30; then comes the intermediate class from 7:30 p.m. till 8 p.m. Everyone is welcome, while experienced salseros and salseras are encouraged to come help the beginners.
Open dancing continues till 10 p.m., with instructors giving mini-lessons in cha cha, samba, rumba, merengue, bachata and perhaps a tango or West Coast swing.
The cover charge for the whole evening is $7, and dancers are invited to bring snacks and soft drinks to share. Manresa Castle’s bar and restaurant are closed Sundays, so dancers should use the building’s south door, farthest from the Jefferson Healthcare hospital.
