PORT TOWNSEND — A traveling show titled “Women Painters of Washington — Celebration!” has arrived at the Northwind Arts Center, and everyone is invited to an opening party Saturday night and a painting demonstration Sunday afternoon.
Some 70 artists are showing their canvases now through May 26 at Northwind, the nonprofit gallery at 2409 Jefferson St.
It’s one of the stops on Saturday’s Port Townsend Gallery Walk, which means refreshments and conversation are part of the opening reception from 5:30 p.m. till 8 p.m. Saturday.
On Sunday at 1 p.m., mixed-media artist Randena Walsh and collage maker Suzy Kuechelhan will give demonstrations; as with the show and the reception, admission is free.
