West End residents in unincorporated areas will have animal control services in 2002 after all.
Clallam County commissioners have allocated $16,000 for animal control outside the city of Forks.
The money was included in the $75.2 million county budget approved by commissioners Tuesday for the fiscal 2000 year.
Forks operates a shelter and provides animal control services in that city. But the Clallam County Sheriff’s Department had contracted with the city to provide animal control services in the surrounding unincorporated area.
West End animal control funds increased from $16,000 in previous years to $27,000 this year.
