SEKIU — Officials from the state Parks and Recreation Commission will discuss the possible development of a state park in the Hoko River/Cowan Ranch area during a meeting tonight.
The public meeting will be held at the Sekiu Community Center beginning at 7 p.m.
During the meeting state parks officials will collect public input about what should be done with the state-owned land.
“We will be talking to the public on what they would like us to do with the property,” said Ted Smith, assistant regional manager for resource stewardship.
Residents of Clallam Bay and Sekiu have been pushing state parks officials to develop a plan and put money toward the Hoko River/Cowan Ranch area for recreational development.
