FORKS — West End residents can get a crash course Wednesday on how Olympic National Park’s draft general management plan will affect them.
The city of Forks is hosting a meeting with Northwest Regional Director Sean Smith of the National Parks Conservation Association.
The association is a non-partisan advocacy group for the National Park Service, but Forks City Planner-Attorney Rod Fleck said it can provide citizens with necessary information about the park’s planning process.
Fleck said the association has dealt with a number of general management plans for other national parks, and can give the best context of what Olympic National Park’s plan will mean for residents of the Peninsula.
