An 18-year-old Yakima woman reported missing from the Hoh Indian Reservation was found dead Tuesday evening, according to federal officials.
Tawnya LaVonne Tom, the girlfriend of a Hoh tribal member, was reported missing over the weekend.
The boyfriend, Jarvis Williams, 19, confirmed Tuesday that Tom was missing. Williams said he and Tom had been living at his mother’s home on the reservation.
Michael Koch, age and address unknown, is being held at the federal detention center in SeaTac for investigation of the homicide.
Koch is not a Hoh tribal member and reportedly belongs to the Cowlitz tribe, according to Hoh officials.
