Many North Olympic Peninsula residents will be walking in a weekend winter wonderland.
And driving in it. And playing in it.
And freezing in it, if they don’t bundle up and take extra precautions.
The National Weather Service on Thursday night said low-land areas of the North Olympic Peninsula will receive up to four inches of the white stuff today through Saturday night.
Then the Arctic air that has brought subfreezing temperatures all week will turn colder next week and possibly bring even more snow Monday and Tuesday, forecasters said.
Although coastal areas of the North Olympic Peninsula are likely to see a little snow, most of the weekend accumulations — one inch today, two inches tonight and a fourth inch Saturday — will occur in the East Jefferson County and Sequim-Dungeness Valley areas, the Weather Service said.
