PORT ANGELES — Adam Bruch of Lakeside Industries smooths out ridges as a road grader spreads sand to provide a base Thursday for this year’s Winter Ice Village ice skating rink, to be erected in a city parking lot in the 100 block of West Front Street in downtown Port Angeles.
The village, which is scheduled to open Nov. 22 and run through Jan. 20, is hosted by the Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce. Preparation of lights and decorations will begin Saturday.
Volunteers are welcome from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. under the canopy on site.
