MARROWSTONE ISLAND — A Sequim woman was cited after a one-car rollover wreck that blocked state Highway 116 for about 90 minutes last weekend.
Judy L. Kirkwood, 49, was taken to Jefferson Healthcare hospital with ankle injuries after her 2003 Nissan Pathfinder went into a ditch, hit a sign and rolled over at about 7:53 p.m. Sunday. Kirkwood was not listed as a patient in the hospital Tuesday.
She was cited for driving under the influence and inattention.
The wreck partially blocked one lane at Milepost 4.5, about 3 miles south of Mystery Bay State Park.
Kirkwood was looking down inside the vehicle when it went into the ditch, a State Patrol report said.
Kirkwood was trapped inside the vehicle for about 30 minutes. She was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck, the State Patrol said.
The State Patrol said that the vehicle was destroyed and was towed away.
