QUILCENE — A local woman remained hospitalized Saturday in Seattle after sustaining injuries in a school bus-related crash Friday.
Blanche L. Wallace, 75, was listed in satisfactory condition at Harborview Medical Center, a nursing supervisor said.
Wallace was flown by helicopter to the Seattle hospital Friday after the pickup truck she was a passenger in rear-ended a Quilcene school bus.
The driver of the 1989 Nissan pickup, Richard G. Wort, 75, of Quilcene, suffered minor injuries.
He was taken to Jefferson General Hospital in Port Townsend, where he was treated and released.
Both Wallace and Wort were wearing seat belts, Washington State Patrol trooper John Ryan said.
No injuries were reported on the school bus, which had about 20 students aboard at the time of the crash.
