PYSHT — A Port Angeles woman was injured in a two-car wreck that closed state Highway 112 for about three hours Saturday evening.
Tara H. Zink, 21, was treated and discharged from Olympic Medical Center, a hospital representative said Sunday.
The State Patrol gave this account:
Rickey W. McFarlen, 47, of Port Angeles was driving a 1996 Chevrolet pickup east on state Highway 112 about five miles east of the Pysht River where the road curves sharply to the right.
He crossed over the center line and struck the driver’s side of Zink’s 1996 Toyota Corolla, which was headed west.
Zink suffered injuries to her left arm, a sore neck, cuts and bruises.
Neither McFarlen nor his passenger, Jason Patterson, 39, of Port Angeles were injured.
McFarlen was cited for driving while intoxicated.
McFarlen’s pickup had about $1,000 of damage, and Zink’s car was a total loss, State Patrol said.
