PORT ANGELES — A woman was rescued after falling 30 feet down an embankment off Deer Park Road on Tuesday.
Clallam Fire District No. 2 firefighters used ropes and a ladder to guide the woman up the hillside.
The woman, who was not identified, was taken to Olympic Medical Center around noon.
Peninsula Communications’ initial reports said the woman fell approximately 60 feet but responders found her 30 feet down the embankment.
Clallam Fire District No. 2 responded with an ambulance, fire engine and 11 firefighters, including volunteers.
