FORKS — Work crews will begin a fish passage improvement project on U.S. Highway 101 south of Forks today.
The project is located between mileposts 180 and 182, over an unnamed stream about three miles south of the Jefferson-Clallam county boundary.
Drivers can expect around-the-clock alternating single-lane traffic controlled by temporary traffic signals and a reduced speed limit of 25 mph through September.
The project is one of six locations along Highway 101 west of Olympic National Park where crews are removing barriers to fish passages this summer.
