PORT TOWNSEND — The signing of a lease between the Olympic Peninsula YMCA and the Port Townsend School District for property on the Port Townsend High School campus for the construction of an early learning and family support center that was to have taken place today has been postponed.
The YMCA and Jefferson Healthcare, one of the project’s partners, decided to delay the signing after Jefferson Healthcare officials learned the hospital had been awarded a $1 million grant from the Washington State Department of Commerce’s Early Learning Facility program.
A new date will be announced after the grant has been finalized.
