At 21, Colin Gregory had just begun what some might say is the truly exhilarating phase of adult life.
That life ended suddenly Tuesday in an industrial accident at a construction site in Port Hadlock.
It was an unexpected and horrendous shock to many, including Andy Ritter, who was Gregory’s football coach before his 2000 graduation from Clallam Bay High School.
Ritter said Gregory’s work ethic was unrivaled, both in the classroom and on the football field, where he did double duty for the Bruins as a center on offense and a linebacker on defense.
He was also an integral part of the team and a motivational figure who fueled vigor in teammates, Ritter said.
