LETTER: Mail delivery

Mail delivery

The mail delivery along U.S. Highway 101 is the worst that I’ve seen in 60 years.

Over the years we have had some very good, reliable carriers.

One in particular would even climb over the mound of snow left by the state road crew to put the mail in the box.

Now it is delivered there anywhere from noon to after five o’clock.

Bur you never know when it will be there.

One Thursday in particular the mail was not there at 7 p.m. but I had passed a carrier driving north on Laird Road a few minutes before.

I finally got it before noon on Friday, but Friday’s mail was not in the box when I checked it at 9 a.m. Saturday morning.

What has happened?
