BLYN — Tina Podlodowski, who has chaired the Washington State Democratic Party since 2017 and serves as vice chair of the Western Caucus – Democratic National Committee, will be the keynote speaker at the Clallam County Democrats’ 2019 annual fundraiser, the Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt Dinner and Silent Auction on Oct. 5.
District 24 Rep. Mike Chapman of Port Angeles will serve as master of ceremonies.
U.S. Rep. Derek Kilmer— who represents the 6th Congressional District, which includes the North Olympic Peninsula — will make closing remarks.
The Roosevelt Dinner will be at the 7 Cedars Casino – Club Seven in Blyn.
Tickets are $75 per person or $600 to reserve a table for eight.

Podlodowski has visited each of the 39 Washington counties and 49 Legislative Districts, interacting personally with those working at the party’s grassroots level, organizers of the dinner said.
“Chair Podlodowski has been a dynamic leader, providing direction and support for the 2018 Blue Wave when Democrats gained seats in both state and national legislative races,” organizers said.
“In addition, her inclusive leadership was recognized by the Urban League with their ‘Spirit Award’ for accomplishments in engaging diverse communities.”
Organizers said her successful initiatives include growth of the statewide Democratic grassroots network via “Summer of Canvass” and “Rise and Organize,” training over 7,500 new party activists; investment in the message that Washington Democrats “Put People First;” support of candidates who won critical elections; the building or rebuilding of relationships with allies including unions, tribes, Indivisible, and various organizations in diverse communities; development of unprecedented support from small dollar donors; and leadership of the most successful Coordinated Campaign in over 15 years.
