Fall ball baseball practice Wednesday in Sequim

SEQUIM — Puget Sound Fall Ball, a competitive development league for high school-age baseball players, will begin its second season on the North Olympic Peninsula this month.

A practice session will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Sequim High School baseball fields.

This session is for those who did not attend Monday’s initial meeting at 360 Sports Performance Training.

Matt Acker, co-owner of the new West Coast League team set to debut next year in Port Angeles and a former college head coach, along with Ryan Hickey, the general manager of the new Port Angeles team, and Zach Miller will run the practices and coach the fall ball team.

Practices will be on Wednesday evenings at Sequim High School.

The fall season will begin with a game at Volunteer Field in Port Angeles on Sunday and run through October.

For more information, or to make special arrangements if a player cannot attend today’s practice, phone John Qualls at 360-461-0482.
