Registration open for fall gymnastics
PORT ANGELES — Klahhane Gymnastics, 3318 Acorn Lane, will hold in-person registration hours for upcoming gymnastics and ninja classes.
Classes begin Sept. 16.
Gymnastics classes are available for children ages 2 through eighth grade.
Ninja classes accept boys and girls ages 4 to 10.
Information, class schedules and pricing for all programs is available at klahhanegymnastics.org.
In-person registration is required, no phone or online registrations will be accepted.
Payment by cash or check is required to reserve space.
Registration is available from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday and again Sept. 11; and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Sept. 10, 12 and 13.
Klahhane Gymnastics is a non-profit Gymnastics Club located at 3318 E Acorn Lane. at the Port Angeles Wal-Mart intersection. Turn left on Oakridge Drive.

Fort Townsend run
PORT TOWNSEND — The 19th annual Fort Townsend State Park 4-mile TrailRun/Walk will begin at 9 a.m. today.
Runners and walkers will travel along park trails winding through old growth trees and along the bluff overlooking Port Townsend Bay, finishing on the lower parade ground of the former Army fort.
Registration is available from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in The Friends Barn.
Entry fees are $15 for adults, $10 for ages 16 and younger.
Awards will be given for first through third place for the top overall male and female finishers, for the oldest and youngest finisher, and first place for male and female finishers in each of eight age brackets from 13 and under to 70-plus.
All who complete the run/walk will receive a “Finisher” ribbon at the end of the race.
Proceeds from the race benefit the Port Townsend High School Cross Country Team and Fort Townsend State Park.
Complimentary parking is provided by Friends of Fort Townsend; no Discover Pass is required.

Oyster races set
QUILCENE — The Quilcene Oyster Races are scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 15, with half-marathon, 10k and 5k run/walk options.
Cost is $60 for the half-marathon, $40 for the 10k and $30 for the 5k. Fees include a race finisher medal, one serving of local oysters after the race, one local craft beer (21 and older), a free open house event at Worthington Mansion.

GOAT races slated
The Great Olympic Adventure Trail (GOAT) Run is set for Saturday, Sept. 7, with three course options for runners: a half-marathon, full marathon and 50-kilometer race.
Races start and end at the Crescent Grange. The 50k starts at 7:30 a.m., the full marathon at 8:30 a.m. and two waves of the half-marathon start at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Cost is $85 for the 50k, $75 for the full marathon and $55 for the half-marathon; youths are $35 for all distances.
Registration closes Sept. 6.
There are no T-shirts or medals for the event; runners get a GOAT Run pint glass and contents. T-shirts are available for an extra fee.
GOAT Run donates funds to the Peninsula Trails Coalition for the construction and maintenance of the Olympic Discovery Trail and the Olympic Adventure Trail.
