Register for Babe Ruth baseball

PORT ANGELES — Registration is underway for players ages 13 through 15 for the upcoming Olympic Junior Babe Ruth baseball season.

To register, attend a sign-up event at Volunteer Field, corner of W. 18th and S. L streets, at 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.

New players will need to bring a copy of their birth certificate.

The player fee is $100, but no player will be turned away due to finances.

Masks are required and all health and safety guidelines will be followed.

Irrigation run

Registration for the Sequim Irrigation Festival Virtual Fun Run— with half-marathon, 5k and Kids Fun Run options — is now open.

Participants choose their own distance and can race all at once or break it up.

Registration is $35 for the half-marathon and 5k options, $12 for the youth fun run, and comes with a gear bag sponsored by First Federal Savings and Loan, multi-function neck gaiter, finisher’s medal and finisher’s sticker.

A drive-through packet pick-up is at 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 3, at the new 7 Cedars Resort in Blyn. Or, pick up your packet between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Sequim Visitor’s Center and Sequim Valley Chamber of Commerce office, 1192 E. Washington St.
