AREA SPORTS BRIEFS: Youth golf camp set June 24-27

SEQUIM — There will be a golf camp being offered from June 24-27 at Cedars at Dungeness Golf Course for children ages 8-12 in the North Olympic Peninsula area.

Kids will learn about the game of golf with instruction from professionals. The camp will provide an opportunity to connect seniors and youth, grandparents with grandchildren or parents with their kids.

The camp will focus on teaching the foundational golf skills of grip, stance, swing, long game, short game and putting. Along with these physical skills, the camp will focus on character skills used both in golf and in life. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day.
