Rider wrestlers pin Bremerton

BREMERTON — Port Angeles earned 48-20 and 42-30 dual-meet victories over Sequim and defending champ Bremerton on Wednesday.

The Riders earned some revenge with the win after falling to the Knights in the final regular season meet of 2022 to decide the league title.

Coach Rob Gale said it came down to Tom Arand.

“We bumped Tom up to 220 pounds [from 195], and Bremerton moved their heavyweight down to 220.

“Tom got the pin which sealed the win for us,” Gale said.

The Riders wrestle at Bainbridge on Saturday.
