ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Brody Lausche, Forks basketball

Forks freshman post Brody Lausche has stepped up in a big way for the Spartans boys basketball team this season, according to his coach Rick Gooding.

With senior Riley Pursley sidelined, Lausche has filled in as a starter in the middle for Forks, posting double figures in scoring and coming close in rebounding last week as the Spartans earned Pacific League wins over both NW Christian and Ocosta.

Lausche had his best game last week against Ocosta, pouring in 16 points and pulling down nine rebounds in a 69-45 victory over the Wildcats.
