Senior James Miller has been a huge part of the resurgence of the Quilcene Rangers football team after a slow start to the season.

Miller has had two monster games in a row for Quilcene. On Oct. 9 against Lummi, he scored three different ways. He ran the ball 15 times for 199 yards and scored three touchdowns. He also had a 72-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and a 27-yard interception return for a touchdown.

Against Darrington last week, Miller had another unbelievable game. He ran 13 times for 259 yards and three touchdowns and another interception.

That’s eight touchdowns and 229 yards rushing per game in Miller’s past two games. He’s scored 18 touchdowns on the season for the Rangers and is averaging 144.6 yards rushing per game.

Athlete of the Week is sponsored by Swain’s General Store in Port Angeles.
