ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Liam Harris, Sequim boys soccer

Sequim boys soccer forward Liam Harris is off to an incredibly fast start for the Wolves.

In his first game of the year last week, Harris had a hat trick plus one against Olympic, then he followed that up with another hat trick versus Fife. He’s also assisted on a pair of goals for seven goals and two assists — 16 total points — in just two games. He’s helped the 1-0-1 Wolves score 16 goals in their first two games.

Harris was also recently invited to play in the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships U18 Division in Frisco, Texas, in July as a member of Washington Premier FC B99, based out of Puyallup.

Harris scored 11 goals last year in being named the All-Peninsula boys soccer MVP. He is already more than halfway to that total.

The Athlete of the Week is brought to you by the sports department at the Peninsula Daily News along with the sponsorship of Swain’s General Store, serving Clallam and Jefferson counties since 1957.
