In the first game against Anacortes, Halberg belted a home run to help lead the Riders to an 8-1 win.
In the second game against Sehome, Halberg hit her second home run of the day in a 19-2 win. It was one of four Port Angeles home runs in that game.
Halberg also had three singles on the day, batting in the leadoff and No. 2 spot to help set the table for the Roughrider sluggers.
In the two games combined, Halberg went 5-for-6 at the plate — for an .833 batting average to begin the season — with two home runs, five runs scored and three RBIs.
She is also an all-state volleyball player for the Roughriders.
