ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Logan Olson, Forks baseball

Logan Olson is off to a blazing start for the Forks Spartans baseball team.

In his first game of the year March 18 against Sequim, Olson pitched four innings of no-hit ball, combining with Logan Urvina on a no-hitter.

In a March 22 doubleheader against Northwest Christian, Olson hit a home run in game one. In game two, he was all fours. He went 4-for-4 with four runs scores, four RBIs and four stolen bases.

On the mound, he threw a one-hit shutout in four innings in that second game, striking out 11.

So far this season, Olson has an ERA of 0.00 and has struck out 18 batters in eight innings, allowing just one hit.

Olson, a senior, is a three-sport athlete who has starred for the Spartans’ football and basketball teams, as well as the Wilder Baseball Club.
