BASEBALL: Wilder Senior wallops Crush Green

ANACORTES — Wilder Baseball’s Senior club got down to business Friday to blast Crush Green 22-1 in a six-inning game.

Wilder bounced back from a doubleheader defeat Wednesday with a huge offensive output.

Brayden Hagerty went 3 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs, Elijah Flodstrom was 3 for 4 with a double and four RBIs and Alex Angevine was 3 for 3 with a triple, three walks, two RBIs and five runs.

Jordan Shumway also came through with a three-run double in the blowout.

Blake Sohlberg went 3 for 4 with four runs and Colton Romero added two hits, including a double, with two RBIs and two runs.

Connor Bear drove in three runs to help his own cause on the mound. Bear went five innings, allowing one run on four hits and a walk with a strikeout to pick up the win.

Wilder (7-8) will host the Dick Brown Memorial Firecracker Classic next Thursday through July 3.

Wilder is seeking host families to host youth baseball players from the World Baseball Showcase Colts squad during the tournament.

They will play games each day at Civic or Volunteer fields. Most days they may need rides to and from the fields.
