BOWLING: Rider girls keep improving on the lanes

PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles posted some high games, but it wasn’t enough to take down defending Olympic League and West Central District Class 1A/2A champs Klahowya on Thursday at Laurel Lanes.

“Although Port Angeles bowled some of their best games of the season, it was not enough to take down undefeated Klahowya,” Riders coach Becky Gundersen said.

“The trio of Abby Robinson (338), Taylor Worthington(277), and Paige Pangaro(257) led the team with their two game scores, while Sophie Constant, Izzy Spencer and Abby Rudd all recorded personal best single game scores for the season.”

The Riders (6-7) closed out regular season play late Friday against Olympic.

Port Angeles will compete at the Olympic League Championship at All-Star Lanes in Silverdale on Thursday.
