SEQUIM — The Sequim boys basketball team gave a 5-0 Bremerton squad everything it could handle as the Knights held on tight for a 69-66 victory.
The game was close throughout. Bremerton was up 30-29 at the half and 49-45 after three quarters.
The Wolves got a big game from Keenan Green, who hit five 3-pointers for 17 points. Solomon Sheppard had 15 points and Mason Rapelje had his best game of the year with a pair of 3-pointers and 14 points. Sheppard, Lars Wiker and Garrett Little all hit 3-pointers.
The Wolves are playing some tough league teams early as they also lost to Bainbridge last week. On Friday, it doesn’t get any easier as Sequim (0-2, 3-2) takes on North Kitsap (2-0, 2-1), one of the best teams in the state, at 7 p.m. Friday.

East Jefferson 76, Seattle Christian 67
PORT TOWNSEND — The East Jefferson boys basketball team got 29 points from Brody Moore and four 3-pointers and 22 points from Traycen Brown in beating Seattle Christian 76-67 on Tuesday.
The Rivals got off to a fast start and built up a lead of more than 20 points by halftime. Seattle Christian rallied in the second half, but East Jefferson was able to hang on.
“They made a bunch of threes late,” said coach Emmanuel Abbott.
“Tray Brown got his first start and played a great game. [He] was one of the reasons we built that early lead,” Abbott said.
Moore shot 11-for-13 from the floor and 6-for-6 from the free-throw line. He also had four steals. Brown shot 4-for-7 on his 3-pointers.
Six-foot-8 Stuart Dow had another great all-around game with 10 points, 10 rebounds and eight blocks. Keidan Guzman also pulled down 10 rebounds, while Cash Holmes had seven points and seven rebounds.
East Jefferson (2-1, 2-2) will play an exhibition game at 5:30 p.m. today at Port Townsend High School against a traveling team, Northern Beaches Christian School of Sydney, Australia. They return to league play Friday, hosting Life Christian (2-1, 3-1) at 7 p.m.
Crescent 68, Lake Quinault 18
AMANDA PARK — The Crescent boys basketball team improved to 6-1 on the season, beating Lake Quinault on the road Tuesday 68-18.
The Loggers got up 47-7 at the half.
“We were able to create offense from our defense and got the game going where we wanted,” said coach Chris Ferrier. “Our freshmen came off the bench and won the fourth quarter against their starters and that was a real highlight. We had 25 assists as a team, really played unselfishly and shared the ball the entire game.”
Henry Bourm led the team with 18 points and five steals, while Lukas Love had another solid all-around game with 16 points, 12 rebounds and seven steals. Conner Bauers had seven points and six assists.
Crescent hosts Wishkah Valley at 6:30 p.m. today.
