SEQUIM — Sequim spotted North Kitsap a seven-run head start and could never catch up in an 11-1 Olympic League baseball contest loss on Thursday.
Hunter Tennell drove in the lone Wolves’ run, bringing home Braydan White, who reached on a one-out walk in the bottom of the fourth.
Sequim (1-4) visits Kingston on Tuesday.

PUYALLUP — The Spartans scored a combined 52 runs on 20 hits and 29 walks in just four innings of play against the overmatched Warriors.
Aidan Salazar led Forks with three RBIs and three runs in game one, while Landen Olson doubled and drove home five runs in game two.
The Spartans (2-1, 3-1) host Pe Ell/Willapa Valley on Tuesday.
Softball Port Angeles 14, North Mason 1
BELFAIR — Lynzee Reid connected on a pair of two-run home runs and Heidi Leitz was strong in the pitching circle once again, tossing a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts in the Riders’ win.
Lexie Smith also added a two-run home run and a double as she went 3-for-4 with four RBIs.
Natalie Robinson went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
Sophia Ritchie tripled home a run and Abby Rudd had an RBI double for the Riders.
Port Angeles (2-0, 4-1) will face Ellensburg and East Valley of Yakima today at Bellevue Community College.
Bremerton 8, Sequim 5
SEQUIM — The Knights’ eight-run second inning did in the Wolves on the road Thursday.
Sequim held a 4-0 lead early, putting across three in the first inning on RBI singles from Neveah Owens, Ava Ritter and an RBI double by Rylie Doig.
Taylee Rome added an RBI double in the second inning, but the Wolves couldn’t get out of the home half of the inning, allowing Bremerton to reach on a single, an error, four walks, hitting a batter and three consecutive doubles to take control.
Rome added another RBI single in the fourth, but that was all the offense for Sequim (0-2, 1-3)
The Wolves host defending state champion North Kitsap on Tuesday.
Montesano 8, Forks 4
FORKS — The Spartans tied the game late, but couldn’t pull ahead for a nonleague win over the Bulldogs.
Keira Johnson doubled and stole home and Fynlie Peters added an RBI double to tie the game at 4-all in the bottom of the fifth.
It was Johnson’s second steal of home during the game, she finished with three stolen bases.
Younger sister Bailey Johnson walked four times
Grace Gooding, who grew up in Forks, had an RBI single and a walk for Montesano.
