PUYALLUP — Three Sequim gymnasts have moved on to the state 2A/3A championships that begin Thursday with their performances last week at the district championship.
Moving on to state was freshman Lucy Spelker on the vault with an 8.35, Kori Miller in the vault with an 8.475 and on the bars with a 7.0. Susannah Sharp qualified in three events — the floor exercise (8.8), the vault (8.65) and the bars (6.6).
Sequim’s Amara Brown finished the season with a 5.1 in the floor exercise, a 7.05 on the vault, 3.8 on the bars and a 7.25 on the beam. Madison Ripley tallied a 6.325 in the floor exercise, 7.2 on the vault, a 3.95 on the bars and 5.25 on the beam.
Port Angeles’ Maddie Adams ended the season with a 6.225 in the floor and a 6.4 on the beam. Chloe Notari scored a 4.2 on the bars and 4.2 on the beam in her final meet.
The state meet will be held at Sammamish High School.
