HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Neah Bay defeats Lummi, advances to 1B title game

TACOMA — The Neah Bay Red Devils will play for their second consecutive 1B state championship next week after beating Lummi 40-30 on Saturday night at the Tacoma Dome.

Neah Bay was once again led by junior quarterback Josiah Greene, who had 365 yards of total offense in the game. Greene tossed three touchdown passes and ran for another score.

The win was the Red Devils’ second over Lummi this season, and third in a row dating back to the 2011 quarterfinals.

Neah Bay will return to the Tacoma Dome on Saturday to face The Associated Press No. 1 Liberty Christian at 4 p.m.

The Patriots, from Richland, made the title game by defeating Cusick 34-32 on Saturday afternoon at Joe Albi Stadium in Spokane.
