PORT TOWNSEND — Port Townsend forced two quick turnovers early in the second half that led to two touchdowns by Matt Cain as the Redskins overcame the loss of starting quarterback Jacob King to beat Life Christian Academy 30-14 at Memorial Athletic Field on Saturday night.

First, the Redskins recovered a fumble on the second-half kickoff, and scored three minutes later on a 11-yard touchdown run by Cain.

On the ensuing drive, Cain stepped in front of a pass by Life Christian’s Taylor Roelofs and raced down the sidelines for a 47-yard interception return for a touchdown.
